Dallas/Fort Worth  July 25TH, 2016:  Ryan Spiritas is a Dallas/Fort Worth born and bred Artist whose works have premiered to great acclaim throughout North America. Two weeks ago the events in Dallas rocked his world. He reacted to the events in the way an Artist reacts….he went to his studio and for days straight he created  Healing Dallas:  A Tribute to Blue.  On Friday, July 15th,2016,  at the premiere VIP opening of his new Exhibition, the gallerist, Tal Milan, offered the piece for sale, with 100% of the proceeds donated to the Assist The Officer Foundation www.atodallas.org

Healing Blue:  A Tribute to Dallas sold in the first 3 minutes, for an appreciable sum of money, to Dallas/Fort Worth couple Jana and Danny Freundlich.  This past Saturday the Artist, the gallerist and the donors presented  a check to Tony Castleberg of the Dallas Police’s Assist the Officer Foundation.

The exhibition is open until July 31st, with a portion of the proceeds from limited editions of the piece donated back to the organization.

The piece was created by the Artist addressing the slain officers and unrest in Dallas.  The Artist and the gallerist are committed to both aiding and healing the community in which they live and work. Spiritas has created an exact replica of the artwork that he will present to the Mayor and hopes to have it hang in City Hall, as a Commemorative in honor of the officers.

It is the expression of his love for his community and a tribute to the men & women if the Dallas Police force who put their well-being and their lives on the line each and every day.

As Chief Brown expressed his heartbreak over the loss of five fallen “Guardians of Freedom”, the City of Dallas mourns. Five families will not see their loved ones again, while the reasoning behind their loss goes beyond reason.

We owe it to the living to remember. The Dallas Police Department, on behalf of the Assist the Officer Foundation, will thank the Artist publicly for remembering them, with your prayers, with your support, with your contributions. Let us all move forward from this event strengthened, united and better for their sacrifice.

A FIRST LOOK AT THE ARTIST RYAN SPIRITAS    http://ryanspiritas.com/video/

Spiritas is a modern contemporary expressionist whose artistic style emotes a refreshing, yet twisted, portrayal of the 21st-century avant-garde through an exploitation of color. Many of his works are like views through a cacophonous lens of dysfunction that exists in his subconscious mind. As such, his pieces reflect the accumulated memories and experiences that have lingered in his head for many years with no way to escape. Spiritas, who describes himself as “strangely productive” strives to promote an irrational juxtaposition of imaginatively drawn images that direct the viewer into the world of daydreaming, yet contrast with random dark deliberations that still give a lighthearted feel to his creations.
